I create my art through a non-deterministic movement, where the process evolves into the idea. My own work is seldom abstracted from anything specific in the material world. Instead I use emotive colour, abstract shapes and surface texture to create visual metaphors for contemporary life. Adding, subtracting, layering, sanding are the actions that begin to form and melt into each other. My process involves mixed media of acrylic, inks, resins and pigments. Inspiration comes through music, nature, fashion, lifestyle and people.
